The New Orleans Saints host the Detroit Lions with a spot in an NFC Divisional Playoff Game up for grabs. NBC will broadcast the game and kickoff is at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday.
In their previous meeting in week 13, the Lions fell, 31-17. Drew Brees had a phenomenal performance, going 26 for 36 for 342 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
The Saints enter the game fresh off a 45-17 blowout win over the Panthers, a game in which Brees was the standout player, going 28 for 35 for 389 yards passing, five touchdowns and one interception. Marques Colston also had a solid game, catching seven balls for 145 yards and two touchdowns. The Lions are fresh off a 45-41 defeat versus the Packers. Matthew Stafford put forth a terrific effort, completing 36 of 59 for 520 yards passing, five touchdowns and two picks. Another strong showing came from Calvin Johnson, who put up 244 yards on 11 catches and one touchdown.
The Lions may need added help for their passing defense against New Orleans, who average a league best 344.1 yards per week.
